On his way back home to his wife Emily, Steve is arrested and put in jail. His family is told he killed himself and when his body is cremated, they can’t tell he is really alive and on the run. When Steve returns home years later, he finds wife is about to marry another man, the same man Steve feels is behind his faked death and years of incarceration. Coming face to face with Emily, yet a changed man, she doesn’t recognize him. He can’t resist taking her even though he knows he should leave. What will happen when Emily discovers the truth?

Each of the books in the Undercover series has been freshly clever and filled with exciting suspense, as well as lots of arousing, intimate sex. I wondered if Ms. Springer would be able to do as well with this different kind of story, as she’s surpassed my expectations with this series. This third book could easily have been droll, milking the hints of hidden identity, but it didn’t happen. The sexual experiences in this book are every bit as exciting as they could be in a fantasy. I loved the story of a woman who’d never been attracted to another man in all the years since her husband died and is suddenly attracted and then bowled over by a new man she meets a month before her wedding. There are a number of secondary characters who ensured the plot didn’t get bogged down by the intricate details, including the brothers presented in the previous books.Intimate Strangers will make you laugh, cry and take your breath away. It is a fitting end to a wonderful series, although it could be read as a standalone.

 “Kiss Me” – The Romance Reader’s Connection

 Jo Brady was once a caring and kind social worker. When one of her cases, gets murdered in an organ theft ring, she vows to bring the killer down. It just so happens that the man that helps to free the man she suspects of killing her charge, is the man that she has had a memorable hot and sweaty one night stand with. She never can forgive him and vows to one day seek revenge upon everyone involved.

 Now, Jo has traded in her life for that of a private investigator. She is good at it, too. That is how she comes to be rescuing said hunky dick-wad from the clutches of a megalomaniac who behind these dastardly criminal efforts. Now, she has to get him to safety and make him believe that she is not out to get him, no matter how much she would like to nail him to the wall. The whole time they are fighting each other, they are finding harder and harder to deny the physical attraction that has been there all along. One can only hold out against their hormones for so long and what happens next is explosive and earth shattering. However, the bad man is still out to get them and they will have to use all their wits to stay one step ahead.

 Jan Springer has long been a favorite of mine. She writes a very good erotic romance. She has a way with blending action with sex that is just hard to resist. KISS ME is one in a line of what I hope are many wonderful stories from this talented lady! As always, this one is definitely a keeper! Even though this is book #2, I had no problem jumping right in and keeping up. It can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Goodbyes & a 74 Vega

As my hometown of Oshawa, Ontario Canada says goodbye to the General Motors truckplant today, we are saddened for all the folks who will lose their jobs. The truck plant has been in our town for many years and produced top quality trucks. But alas times are a changing…

Our family was also sad to say good-bye to a 74 Vega that’s been in the family for many years. We had the Vega in storage beneath the cottage since the 80’s but recently it was decided to give the classic away.

Here are some photos of the car:

Vega getting ready to come out from beneath the cottage. Three fellows who answered an ad in the Freecycle came and helped my brother prepare the ‘74 Vega for her journey away. The fellows were from Peterborough, Ontario Canada and that’s where the car’s new home will be.

Oops the Vega hit a bit of a glitch when the brakes started to seize on her way out…

Another glitch when the front tires quickly went flat on her way out…boy she sure is giving everyone a hard time…maybe she doesn’t want to leave?

Yeah! She’s almost out! Just have to get her around that last tree! (That’s my youngest nephew giving the orders, isn’t he cute!!)

She’s out and off to her new home!! Goodbye Vega!! We love you!!! And now we must clean out the cottage and put her on the sale block as well. *jan hanging her head in sorrow*
